We’re continuing our series looking at the real estate market in various zip codes across San Antonio (and eventually beyond). We’ve looked at 78258, 78259, and 78260, so today we’re going to slide westward and look at the real estate market in 78249.

While we love looking at real estate statistics, we always find it helpful to remind everyone that the numbers aren’t the only thing that matters and that a zip code covers a lot of varying neighborhoods – so just because the median price is $XYZ, that doesn’t mean that your home will sell for that. The 78249 Zip Code

The 78249 zip code occupies a 14.86 square mile segment on the city’s northwest side roughly bound by Loop 1604 to the north, several neighborhoods in Shavano Park and IH 10 on the more western chunk of the zip code to the east, DeZavala Road and Prue Road to the south, and Bandera Road to the west.
