Alamo Ranch (The Trails)

Alamo Ranch is San Antonio’s largest and most sought after master-planned community with access to highways that provide easy commuting, surrounded by many major shopping centers and an abundance of entertainment venues, new medical facilities, and lots of recreational activities. It is also located close to many major employers in the Westover Hills employment center along the Highway 151 corridor, and Lackland Air Force Base is only fourteen miles away. Alamo Ranch is served by the highly acclaimed Northside ISD and is home to the new community “Exemplary” rated Hoffmann Elementary and Briscoe Middle School (both opened in Fall 2009).

Alamo Ranch boasts luxurious home sites with large mature oak trees that reflect the Hill Country feel, right in your own backyard. Oversized home sites in many of the neighborhoods give your family the option of added elbow room, as well as fabulous potential for outdoor entertaining and activities.

You will notice that you have a large array of options in the various subsections of Alamo Ranch. Several areas feature home sites that back to a greenbelt (no homes behind them), while others are enhanced by gated entrances for extra security and exclusivity.

Another benefit of Alamo Ranch is the opportunity to cool off on those hot Texas summer days at the community junior Olympic swimming pool. Families with little children will love the separate covered toddler pool. There is also a large cabana and pavilion perfect for parties, a tennis court, basketball sport court, and playscape for your benefit.

If shopping and convenience is what you enjoy, you couldn’t be in a better spot. There is over 800,000 square feet of retail just around the corner including Super Target, Lowe’s, Best Buy, JC Penney, Michael’s, Sephora, Starbucks, Olive Garden, Freebirds World Burrito, Chick-fil-A, and many more. The Shops at La Cantera are about ten miles away and provide additional shopping with department stores such as Dillard’s, Macy’s, and Nordstrom. SeaWorld San Antonio is located only four miles away. For those that enjoy outdoor activities, Government Canyon State Natural Area offers fabulous hiking trails, perfect tor mountain biking, trail running, or just taking a leisurely stroll. And for the golf enthusiasts, there are plenty of first class courses all around the area.
