Working with IberiaBank, Sean has delivered time and time again for the agents of Kimberly Howell Properties and their clients. Not a day goes by in the office where you don’t hear an agent ask a question about mortgages and the immediate reply is “Call Sean!” Not only does Sean work hard to get clients the best home loans, but he is always willing to stop and help an agent learn about loans or answer a tough question about the mortgage industry and how it works. He truly is an incredible resource and has made himself available to our agents and clients both day and night and even on the weekends, earning him the title “The Hardest Working Loan Officer in San Antonio.”
Sean O’Donnell, along with his right hand, Marie Lifschultz, has not only given our clients some incredible loans and made them happy, but also made our agents more knowledgeable and better trained to help their clients with their loan questions. We appreciate his hard work and dedication to our clients and let’s be honest, we love his New England accent. Since we mentioned Marie, we also want to point out that she does everything with the same work ethic. Day or night you can pick up the phone and call Marie, which is quite rare for an underwriter. She has helped us countless times to understand the world of the mortgage underwriter, something we consider invaluable as most agents don’t have this kind of access to an underwriter (which is a shame, because they are a wealth of knowledge).
And Sean isn’t afraid to turn away business. While that might sound a little odd to champion in someone, it is actually hard to find. In a world where we’re all trying to make a living and working off of commissions, it’s never easy to say no to potential business. But Sean has done exactly that when he knows he can’t provide the best situation for our clients. Whether it’s because he knows a lender who can better structure a loan because of the client’s unique situation or in cases where it makes better sense in the long term for a client to pay cash for a home, Sean is not afraid to tell a client there’s a better option for them. His willingness to walk away from a commission and show our client how to get the best deal possible is a true testament to his nature and something we admire greatly.
